And the
nitrate levels are 0ppm
nitrite level at 0ppm
ammonia level at 0.10ppm
and Ph level at 8.3
is this normal for a 3 week old tank and how much lobger should it tank
by the way the nitrite and nitrate levels have already spiked and gone back down
Answers:
Hi Kelly,
As long as you don't have any nitrate readings, your tank is not cycled yet, and your ammonia levels need to be at '0'
I think about a few more days, but your tank is almost there

sounds good. wait another week and see if anything goes out of whack and if it stays good then do a 25% water change and add your fish.
It is very rare to be able to cycle a tank in three weeks without the help of old filter media and or gravel. It sounds to me like your tank is no where near done cycling. How are you cycling your tank? Please email me and I'll help you get it straightened out.
Hard to say Kelly. I have seen them cycle that fast, but it's rare. I would suggest you have the water checked by a shop just to make sure your test kit isn't fooling you.. they can go bad sometimes.
If I can help further feel free to email me or visit the link in my profile.

It took my tank 4 weeks to cycle completely. seems like you're almost there.
oh, and I've never seen so many fish experts post in a line like that before lol =) ^^^^^^
Too all the othe answers she said she had the nitrate and nitrite spike so she is done cycleing the live rock from the other tank prolly helped I would go out and get 2 damsels and see how they do if they are fine in a week or two then start getting the fish you want.
check this site they say you need to put guppies in order to help your cycling. otherwise it will take forever and you need atleast six week ...http://en.allexperts.com/q/fish-1472/com...
