ok, i have 2 upside down catfishes, this one is holding on for dear life, dont think hes eating, first sign, white spots, then more, then all lower half, underside only, then underside and one entire side of his body was TURNING WHITE, hardly eating, talked to vet talked to pet stores but no answers. nothing. now, his skin is missing on half of his body. he is about 2-3 inches long, fin is gone, other fin gone too on top. now hes laying there breathing on his side, curved body and no skin on his lower half of his body.symptoms started about 1-2 weeks ago, thought it was ick and cloud eyes. all levels good. hes dying and all we are doing is watching. please if anyone can help!!

There is nothing you can do, i think it probably got caught in the filter. I have to advice you to kill the fish. It's going to die anyway, best to kill it now, do it quickly by squashing it's brain, so it doesn't have to die a slow and painful death.
I agree with Silver, Put it down, quickly.
