Puffer fish?

i got 2 new new puffer fish from wal-mart...they wont eat.what do i do?
Answers:
Puffers usually need live foods. Sometimes they will eat frozen bloodworms, but mostly they need snails. Try to find a petstore that will either give or sell you the little black gravel snails. If you do not give them snails, the puffer's teeth will grow too long, and it will die. Some species need brackish conditions. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
We need some information. What kind of tank setup do you have? What do the pufferfish look like?
The more information you can provide, the easier a diagnosis will be.
there is not much you can do. most fish from walmart dont live very long.
arent those poisonous to eat?
I would recommend calling Petsmart or a place that specializes in exotic fish and ask them. OR look up on the internet what they like to eat. Make sure the water is the correct recommended temp (salt or fresh water?). Goodluck!
They are probably just getting used to their surroundings.
Though if you could answer these questions, we could help you more:
How large is your tank?
Are they both males? (males are very territorial if not kept in a large setting)
Has your tank cycled?
What are you feeding them?
Are there places for them to hide so they feel comfortable?
Do you have a heater and filtration system setup?
Ask yourself these questions then we can help you further.
What are you trying to feed them. most puffers will take only live or frozen foods.
i feed my puffer krill i got from the pet store and it took him about a week to start eating
