I tried looking it up on Google but did not find the answer I was looking for. (I have a ramshorn snail) How often do they lay eggs? How many days does it take the eggs to hatch? Can they hear? Can they see? How do you keep them from over coming your tank? Is it humane to kill them by scraping the eggs off? and how long do they live for?
Answers:
If you let them go, they will overtake your tank in less than a month. They can feel vibrations (hear) and use their eye stocks to see. You will soon have hundreds of them, so get rid of them now. Use a snail killer from the petstore, or remove your fish from the tank and add 1 cup of salt per 10 gallons of water. Scraping the eggs off doesn't kill the snails, it just moves them.

bad thing about snails they reproduce very fast i have even heard that u can get them around the house too get rid of em they are nasty take em out and give em salt
